Larry grew up in Dallas, Texas where he worked for DART Dallas Area Rapid Transit for about 30 years, until he retired. Larry also served briefly in the U.S. Marines. He liked to collect newspaper articles, and sports memorabilia. He love to write letters to his family, and enjoyed reading.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Gail Rodgers; and wife Becky Stanfield.
He will be deeply missed by his children Jimmy Stanfield and Donny Stanfield; daughter-in-law Donnie Ann Stanfield; grandchildren Donny T. Stanfield & wife Brooke Stanfield, Matthew Stanfield, Paige Bennett, Rhonda Edgar & husband Kyle Edgar, Leslie Bayless; great-grandchildren Brayden Stanfield, Koby Stanfield, Jaxx Stanfield, Ariyah Bennett, Tanner Shaw, Kaylee Edgar, Brody Edgar, Dillion Edgar, Collin Prickett, Kodie Pritchard and Brenden Pritchard.
Pallbearers will be his sons Jimmy and Donny Stanfield, grandsons Donny and Matthew Stanfield, great-grandsons Brayden Stanfield and Bryan Cathey.
A funeral service for Larry will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at Forest Park East Cemetery.
