Leida Ilda Bandini

Leida is survived by her three sons and their respective families, all of whom live in Houston. Her oldest son is Carlos Ruben Bandini, married to Nancy Mirta Pregrasso; they have four children: Sabrina Ruth, Timothy Aldo, Matthew Neil and Sharron Anne. Her middle son is Federico Daniel Bandini, married to Susana Mabel Ribeiro; they have three children: Amanda Erin, Veronica Andrea and Wesley Ryan. Her youngest son is David Aldo Bandini, married to Lisa Lee Hively; they have two children: Tyler David and Tanner Lee. Leida has three great-grandchildren: Jacob Luke and Hannah Elizabeth, children of Sabrina and her husband Guillermo Acuña, and Emma Aurora, daughter of Veronica and her husband Motoi Otsuki, with a fourth great-grandchild on the way – Bianca Rose, daughter of Amanda and her husband Johnathan Yazdani. Leida is survived by many dear nieces and nephews. She had a very special relationship with her sister Nelly Diaz and her sister’s three daughters – Nilda Bryant, Haydee Diaz and Adriana Roldan. She also had a very special best-friend whom she met in 1961, who was like a sister, Antonia (Ñica) Barroso.

Leida is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years, Aldo Carlos Bandini, her parents who were born in Spain - mother Josefa Valenzuela and father Juan Cano, her two sisters Nelly Diaz and Josefa (Ñata) Navarrete, and her three brothers Antonio Cano, Francisco Cano and Juan Cano.

Leida was born on November 22, 1933 in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. She was the youngest of six children. She met her future husband in the town plaza in December 1949. She married Aldo Carlos Bandini on February 27, 1954. Leida, her husband Aldo, and two children born in Argentina – Ruben and Federico – immigrated to Texas in November 1960. Her youngest son David was later born in Texas City, Texas in 1964. The couple welcomed their three sons into their home, and Leida set about teaching them to love God and neighbor. The family moved to Houston in 1970. Her children remember Leida as a loving mother, caring friend, and Godly woman who always encouraged them and their families.

Leida was a kind and prayerful woman who loved reading her Bible and encouraging her family, friends, and members of her church. She loved and honored her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a founding and active member of South Houston Spanish Bible Chapel since 1982.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, October 11 and Monday, October 12 at Forest Park East, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. Juan DiCesare, Pastor of Verdad En Amor Church, will officiate the services. Please note that all services will be in Spanish. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Leida’s life. Leida Ilda Bandini, nacida Cano, murió en paz en su casa el día 7 de octubre de 2015 en la ciudad de Pearland, Texas, a la edad de 81 años, rodeada por su familia y amigos quienes ella tanto amaba.

Sobreviven a Leida sus tres hijos con sus familias respectivas, todos quienes viven en Houston. También tiene otra bisnieta en camino – Bianca Rose, hija de Amanda y su esposo Johnathan Yazdani. Sobreviven a Leida muchos queridos sobrinos y sobrinas. Ella tuvo una relación muy especial con su hermana Nelly Diaz y las tres hijas de su hermana – Nilda Bryant, Haydee Diaz y Adriana Roldan. También tuvo una relación muy especial con su mejor amiga quien conoció en 1961, y quien era como una hermana, Antonia (Ñica) Barroso.

A Leida le preceden en muerte su muy amado esposo de 26 años, Aldo Carlos Bandini. También sus padres quienes nacieron en España - madre Josefa Valenzuela y padre Juan Cano, sus dos hermanas Nelly Diaz and Josefa (Ñata) Navarrete, y sus tres hermanos Antonio Cano, Francisco Cano and Juan Cano.

Leida nació el 22 de noviembre de 1933 en Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. Ella era la menor de seis hijos. Ella conoció a su futuro esposo en la plaza de su pueblo en diciembre de 1949. Ella se casó con Aldo Carlos Bandini el 27 de febrero de 1954. Leida, su esposo Aldo, y sus dos hijos nacidos en Argentina – Ruben y Federico – inmigraron a Texas en noviembre de 1960. Su hijo menor David nació en Texas City, Texas en 1964. Esta hermosa pareja recibió a sus tres hijos en su casa, y Leida se dedicó a enseñar a sus hijos a amar a Dios y el prójimo. La familia se mudó a Houston en 1970. Sus hijos recuerdan a Leida como una madre amoroso, una amiga fiel, y como una mujer cristiana quien siempre animaba a su familia y amigos.

Leida era una mujer amable y de buen corazón. Ella encontraba su deleite orando, leyendo su Biblia y alentando a su familia, amigos y miembros de su iglesia. Ella vivió amando y honrando a su Señor y Salvador Jesucristo. Ella era miembra activa y una de las personas fundadoras de la Iglesia Cristiana Evangélica de South Houston desde 1982.

Los servicios funerales se realizaran domingo, octubre 11 y lunes, octubre 12 en Forest Park East, ubicado en 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598.
