Linda Louise Rund

Linda is survived by her father, Tony Crapitto of League City, Tx; daughter, Natalie Rund Hubbard and her husband Mitch of Montgomery, Tx; granddaughter, Lily Grace Hubbard of Montgomery, Tx; sister, Nina Crapitto Jones and her husband Gary of San Leon, Tx; and her brother, Jimmy Crapitto and his wife Emma of Katy, Tx. She is preceded in death by her mother, Trudy Crapitto of League City, Tx.

Linda Rund was born on November 27, 1943 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Raised in Houston, she attended Queen of Peace Catholic School and graduated from St. Agnes Academy. Linda loved to travel and enjoyed trips all over the United States, Canada, Germany and England with her mom and daughter.

Linda lived in Houston, Tx where she became a gate agent with American Airlines, earning a Citation of Service acknowledging her dedication to her career. She retired from American Airlines as a supervisor after 25 years of service. Not ready to settle into a life of retirement, Linda then worked as an administrative assistant at the University of St. Thomas for twelve years, where she retired in April 2012.

Linda was an accomplished dancer. As a teenager, she took dance lessons at Swayze School of Dance in Houston, Tx. Continuing her passion in adulthood, Linda was a member of the Hangar Squares Square Dance Club, performing at area festivals. She also belonged to The Houston Whip Club, a swing dance club. Linda attended St. Bernadette Catholic Church where she volunteered with Helping Hands, a community outreach program. In her free time, she enjoyed Red Hat luncheons and charity projects with her sister, Nina, and friends. Linda was a witty individual who loved her family and church.

Visitation and Rosary is Sunday, July 1 at Forest Park East Funeral Home beginning at 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Mass is scheduled for 10:30a.m. on July 2 at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Houston, Tx, with a Committal Service to follow at Forest Park East Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Linda Rund’s life.
