

She was raised in "The Heights", and graduated from Reagan High School. Upon graduation, she began working in the banking industry. Not too long after her career started, she met the "love of her life", Gene Alman Smith on a "Double Date". The two were married on February 1, 1957. She devoted her life raising three children with Gene. She later worked as a secretary at Glendale Baptist Church, and Queens Road Baptist Church while being involved in the Women’s Missionary Union. Linda and Gene settled in Pasadena choosing South Main Baptist as their Church Home of Fellowship.
Linda was preceded in death by Gene Alman Smith on November 7, 2020. She is survived by her children, Gary Gene Smith and wife Elaine, Terry Glenn Smith and wife Sara, Kimberly Lynn Alexander and husband Dudley. Grandchildren Christopher Smith, Ashley Smith Robinett and husband Zach, Kenneth Alman Smith, Philip Smith and wife Shelby, Ellen Smith Maslowski and husband Patrick, Jennifer Smith, Kendal Alexander, and Harrison Alexander. Great grandchildren, Trinity and Dahlyla Smith, Theodore Robinett, Cooper Smith and Dylan Maslowski.
Linda's life was selfless and prayerful. She instilled in her children how to set a foundation for her family with stability, honor, respect and most importantly acceptance within the deep Love of God. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all. Everyone who new Linda, knew she never met a stranger and was the first to offer a helping hand. She was an avid reader of all genres, but mostly mystery and romance. She also loved scrapbooking, puzzling, and gardening.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Forest Park East Cemetery. There will be a visitation at 9:00a.m. Serving as pallbearers are Christopher Smith, Kenneth Smith, Philip Smith, Harrison Alexander, Zach Robinett, and Patrick Maslowski. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Linda Nell Smith may be made to The 100 Club, Inc., 5555 San Felipe ST, #1750, Houston, Texas 77056, the100club.org

12. In the same way, we can see and understand only a little about God now, as if we were peering at his

13. There are three things that remain Faith, Hope and Love and the greatest of these is Love.
