Lydia Leggett

Lydia was born in Mirgorod (Myrhorod), Ukraine on September 19, 1926 to Mikhail and Anna Ewdak. She was married to Raymond L. Leggett from 1955 until his passing in 1980. She worked for the Department of Defense in base Finance in Wiesbaden, Germany for 9 years.

Lydia loved nature, the outdoors and animals. She had a passion for playing tennis, swimming, dancing, fashion and attending the ballet and operas. She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and socializing with her friends. Lydia and Raymond were members of the local tennis and golf clubs in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents Mikhail and Anna Ewdak, and her three siblings, Maria, Misha and Anatoli. She is survived by her three children Linda, Michael and Cindy, her four grandchildren Katrina, Megan, Casey, and Shannon, her great-grandson, Ethan, as well as a number of nieces and nephews in the Ukraine.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598, in the Dear Meadow Mausoleum. The service is scheduled for December 10, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
