Mable Marie (Hunt) Rogers, 98, passed away January 23, 2024 in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on July 14, 1925 in Hunter, Arkansas.
Mable was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Rogers. They were married 64 years when Jimmy passed away in 2008.
Mable held several different jobs in her life but the longest held job was as the cashier for Burnett Elementary in Houston. She was also the school crossing guard for many of those years.
Mable was a faithful Christian and a member of the Southeast Church of Christ in Houston for many years. In her later years she was a member of the Watters Road Church of Christ in Pasadena, Texas.
Mable is survived by her daughter, Brenda Rogers Dupree of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons, James Douglas Rogers of Friendswood, Texas and Wendell Leon Rogers of Texas City, Texas; grandchildren, Sara Dupree Inman and husband, Alan of Plainfield, Indiana and Raymond Douglas Dupree of Indianapolis, Indiana; great-grandsons, Parker Inman and Alex Inman of Plainfield, Indiana; and two sisters, Joyce Henard of Brinkley, Arkansas and Glenda Hunt of Hunter, Arkansas.
