Maria Barnhart Cortinas went away to be with her Father in Heaven on Monday, December 16. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rev. Adolfo M. Cortinas, her seven children, daughter Gloria and her husband Saul Rodriguez, daughter Louisa and her husband, Tomas Garcia, son Adolf, Jr. and his wife Mary Alice Cortinas, son George and his wife, Evelyn Cortinas, daughter Ester and her husband, Rick Godbold, daughter Noemi and her husband, Todd Fisher, son Steven Cortinas, 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and one surviving sibling, Juan (Lil) Barnhart of Raymondville, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Antonia Barnhart, four brothers, Bernardo, Felipe, Ezequiel, Pablo, one sister, Aurora, and a son, Arturo.
Her faith in God, her strength, humor, compassion and devotion as a wife and mother, were an inspiration to her family and all that knew her and loved her. We will miss her dearly.
