Maria Del Socorro Torres, 65, of Houston, Texas, passed away April 28, 2018. She was born in San Alberto, Durango, Mexico on December 31, 1952 to Jesus Chavez Sanchez and Maria Del Refugio Frias Gonzalez.
She was married to Francisco Torres Martinez for 36 years. “Coco” had a career in the hospitality/restaurant industry for over 45 years. She had a passion for cooking, her granddaughter, and soccer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus Chavez Sanchez and Maria Del Refugio Frias Gonzalez, siblings: Maria Guadalupe Chavez Frias, Maria Chavez Frias, Raul Chavez Frias, Marina Chavez Frias and Carlos Chavez Frias.
She is survived by her husband Francisco Torres Martinez, daughter Claudia Torres Bryan, granddaughter Zoey Daniella Bryan and siblings: Carlos Eduardo Chavez Frias, Antonia Chavez Frias, Maria Del Jesus Chavez Frias, Andres Chavez Frias, Placido Chavez Frias, and Jose Chavez Frias.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 4 from 9:30-10:00am with a Celebration of Life beginning at 10:00am in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas.
