Born to Roy & Mamie Walker, the family resided in Columbus, Arkansas until they moved to Alvin, Texas in 1950, then relocated to Houston two years later.
Marshall was a well respected contractor in the Houston area, owning his own contracting business until he retired at the age of 65. Always a country boy at heart, he enjoyed spending time outside, sitting on the porch, drinking coffee, and waving at the traffic. If not on the porch, he could be found watching a classic Western or listening to old country music. Marshall enjoyed spending time with his family, telling his grandkids stories of his life, but more than anything, he took great joy in aggravating his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mamie, sister Emily and brother in law Darrell Kohler.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Walker, son Mark Walker and wife Blanche, daughter Michelle Moore and husband Larry, grandchildren: Merrina Hernandez and husband Cesar, Madeline Walker, Miriam Walker, Marshall Walker II, Zakery Moore and Jerrod Moore, great-grandchildren: Theodore and Penelope Hernandez, brother Roy-Calvin Walker and wife Pat, and sister Opal Kohler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
