Mary Helen Jones

On December 6th, Helen Jones, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away at the age of 100. Born in Hallettsville, Texas to Mary Anna Sitka and Joseph Munsch, she grew up as the youngest of six children alongside her two brothers and three sisters. Helen spent most of her life in Houston, Texas. She married her husband, Allen, in Maryland in 1947, and together they raised three children, Carol, Michael, and Barbara, in Houston.

Helen was known for her kind and generous heart. Her family was the center of her world. She delighted in beautiful things - flowers, jewelry, and cherished keepsakes, which she proudly shared with friends and family who visited her home. Helen aged with grace and independence, choosing to live on her own well into her nineties.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, her five siblings, and her grandson, Jacob Pearsall.

Helen is survived by her children, Carol (L.J.) Parish, Michael (Julie) Jones, and Barbara (David) Pearsall; her grandchildren, Monica (Warren) Kolb, Jessica (Zack) Yanez, Jeffrey (Carly) Jones, Amy (Tim) Yager, Vanessa (Ronnie) Sharp, and Lindsay (Craig) Jessup; and her great-grandchildren Kate Kolb, Caroline Kolb, Cody Yanez, Wesley Yanez, Maxwell Jones, Reese Jones, Claire Yager, Graham Yager, Lainie Sharp, Haley Sharp, Brody Sharp, Dylan Jessup, Madison Jessup, and Ashlyn Jessup.

Helen will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
