

Mary was raised in Channelview, Texas and was a nurse for many years. She enjoyed shopping, bowling, spending time with family, playing baseball, collecting rocks and making clothes for her children, especially the Easter dresses for the girls. Her hobbies included gardening and crafts; specializing in Angel Trumpets and African Violets, and many others. She was also a member of Channelview Senior Citizens and enjoyed all their activities together.
Mary was preceded in death by her father William Calvin Stegall; mother Viola Cramer Stegall; sisters Alice Faye Vickery and Patricia Boyle; brother William Calvin "Sonny Boy" Stegall; grandson Robert Leon Pemberton Jr. and daughter Judy Annette Kimble.
She will be deeply missed by her husband J.D. Kimble of 72 years; daughters Kathryn Hallmark of Channelview, Mary Jane Powell and husband Mike of Baytown, Carolyn "Susie" Kimble of La Porte; son Jepsey "Pete" Kimble, Jr. and wife Cindy of Galena Park; grandchildren Kevin Hallmark, Brian Hallmark, Rachel Hallmark Zikeli, Tonya Powell Hutton, Amanda Powell Baker, Kimberly Kimble Rodden, Jepsey Kimble III, Melissa Kimble and Crystal Peterson; 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 330 Sheldon Road in Channelview. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. and a committal service will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster.
