Mary Frances Mathis

Mary Frances Mathis went to be with our Lord on January 6, 2012 in Pasadena, Texas. She was a resident of Manvel, Texas for 35 years. Mary Frances was born on October 25, 1928 in Prairie Lea, Texas to Floyd and Lizzie (Kelly) Mobley. She was preceded in death by her husband James Fred Mathis of 36 years of marriage, parents Floyd and Lizzie (Kelly) Mobley, stepmother Lottie Mobley and brother Douglas Mobley of Corpus Christi, Texas. She is survived by her son Dennis and Cindy Mathis of Colorado, daughter Elaine and Phil Mailloux of Sheridan, Texas and daughter Lynda McAdams of Galveston, Texas. Five Grandchildren Chris Mathis, Elisha O’Connor, Melissa McAdams, Philip Mailloux III, and Lynn Hale. Seven Great-Grandchildren Greyson O’Connor, Autumn Mathis, Emily Mathis, Alex Hale, Mallory Hale, Philip Mailloux IV, and Erick Mailloux.

Mary Frances received her LVN Nursing Certificate. She was a leader in many organizations: Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls, Cub Scouts and 4-H. She enjoyed flower gardening and cooking. She enjoyed listening to her Big Band music. She was a lifetime member of Southern Baptist Faith and sang in her choir.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 5pm-7pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 3:00pm.
