

Michael Groneman, 62, of Webster, TX died suddenly on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010. He was born in Bayshore, NY, to Albert and Audrey Groneman on April 12, 1948. Mike dedicated his life to serving others as a NY City Transit Police Officer; as 1st Lt in the Brentwood, NY Volunteer Fire Dept; and as Chief and Fire Marshall of the Webster, TX Fire Dept. Mike is survived by his wife, Suzanne; sons, Richard and wife Joey, Kevin and wife Alana, and Mike Gallatin and wife Cathy; daughters, Bibi Allard and husband Warren, Suzie Thornhill and husband Scott; sister, Susan Krawtz and husband John; brothers, Bob and wife Mary, and Tom and wife Belinda; nieces, Megan, Allison, Danielle and Alyssa; grandchildren, Anthony and wife Cindy, Steven, Catherine, Skylar, Taylor, Averee, and Keeley; and great granddaughter, Harmony. On Sat. Dec. 4, 2010 at 2 pm, the Webster Fire Dept. will begin the Memorial service with a tribute to former Chief Groneman at St Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, 18300 Upper Bay Rd in Nassau Bay, TX. The reception following the service is hosted by the Order of the Daughters of the King.
