

Michael James Hayes Sr., 55, of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 8, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on August 25, 2021, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church located at 18220 Upper Bay Rd., Houston, Texas, 77058. The church will receive attendees beginning at 9:00 am, where they are invited to watch a private First Responder processional escorting him to the church. Pastor Randy Miller to officiate. Mike was born in Houston, Texas, on October 12, 1965. He graduated in 1984 from C.E. King High School. For more than thirty years, Michael served the Houston, Webster, Nassau Bay, League City, Kemah, Clear Lake area, and surrounding communities, as a dedicated Paramedic and 911 Telecommunicator. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the casino, being involved with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Cookoff, and serving as a Rodeo volunteer every year.
Mike is survived by daughter Hailey Victoria Hayes; son Michael James Hayes, Jr., and daughter-in-law Tracy Hayes; grandchildren, Matthew Warren Hayes, Mason James Hayes, and Michael Vera Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Hayes; sister-in-law, Leola Hayes; goddaughter, Lashonda Marie Van Slyke; nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred J. Hayes Sr., and Helen Hayes; as well as brothers, Warren Hayes, William Ray Hayes, and Alfred J. Hayes, Jr.
