I’m thinking of you during this time of loss. I know your mother, Mildred , was a strong, independent person with a big heart. Even when she was without her home after Harvey, she was more concerned about getting back to care for animals that had come to depend on her than she was for having had to leave her home. Know I am thinking of you.

I did not know Mildred well, but I love her daughter Peggy dearly. Peggy is a fierce, strong woman who takes care of those around her and fights tooth and nail for those she loves, and I have no doubt that was the case with her mother. Mildred was so lucky to have Peggy in her corner, advocating for her and protecting her as much as she could. I know Mildred was deeply grateful for that in her way, and I hope Peggy can carry that knowledge with her as she moves through this loss.

My heart grieves for you. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I know you worked hard at taking care of her. Everything is more difficult right now than you ever thought it would be. I wish I could say things get easier but this heartache will need time. Sending prayers, love and hugs my friend.

I am very sorry for the loss of your Mom. While I did not know her personally, from knowing you, Peggy, I know she was a strong woman, dedicated Registered Nurse, talented baker and compassionate animal lover. I am sure you will miss her terribly but I am confident you will see and be with your Mom again in eternity. My thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

A Mother's loss I believe is one of the most difficult. She plays one of the most important roles in a child's life and is often one of the most important roles in her life.

I personally did not know Mildred E. Bird; however, her love and compassion was evident through her chosen career in nursing and caring for others, the love for her children and the love caring for her cats and dogs.

This is a painful time, and my prayers are with you and Tom and your family. May your memories be filled with love, kindness, laughter and sweet thoughts as you honor and celebrate her life.

There are no words that can fill the emptiness right now - only time will ease you into the wonderful fun memories you have in your heart and mind. You and Tom can find comfort in knowing she loved you and your family and it was returned a thousand fold. I know that from the stories you have told me through the years about your Mom! And from those stories, I know where your view of life comes from and the humor you find in living each day. My prayers for peace for you, Tom and your family continue as you travel this difficult road. Always - - -
