

Norma Jean Hernandez, 71, of South Houston, Texas, passed away on September 12, 2015. She was born in Marengo, Indiana on March 7, 1944 to Chester Ralph and Eulah Ann Froman. She was married to Alexander Hernandez for 35 years. Norma Jean had a career in electronics assembly for Telecare, Narco Bio-Systems, and Schlumberger during her working years. She volunteered in her later years at Southeast Area Ministries Food Pantry and Crossroads Outreach Ministry. Norma had a passion for helping the hungry, homeless and downtrodden. She also did ministry work for many years at First Baptist Church South Houston with senior adults and children. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eulah Ann Froman; father, Chester Ralph Froman; and her husband, Alexander Hernandez. Norma is survived by her children Lisa Forbes (Steve), Mark Hernandez, Dana Harrington, and Dawn Malone (Darryl); her grandchildren Ian, Megan, Matthew, Vanessa, AJ, and Will; her brothers Ralph Froman (Virginia) and Paul Froman; many brother and sister-in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.
