

Lyn Hamm was born on September 30, 1947 in Beaumont, Texas. Surrounded by his family, he went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2010 in Spring Branch, Texas.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 2, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the chapel at Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 also at Forest Park East Funeral Home, burial to follow.
Lyn was raised in the Beaumont area, graduating from Liberty High School in 1966. After graduating high school, he attended Lamar Tech. He was first employed by AT&T and in 1972 was hired by Texas City Refining in Texas City, Texas. He started as a Unit Operator and progressed to Maintenance Director. In 2005 he retired from Valero Refinery in Texas City as the Training Manager. During the 33 years at this facility, Lyn genuinely cared for each employee that crossed his path. His high work ethic was evident to all as he displayed the knack to balance business and lasting friendships.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Urban L. and Lela Ashworth Hamm and son, David A. Rambin.
Surviving is his wife of 19 years, Suzanne Hamm and grandson, Darin Aubrey Rambin of Webster, Texas; Brother, Urban Hamm of San Antonio, Texas and special friend Jeffrey Martinez. Lyn’s life was blessed by the special relationship with Sherri Thompson and husband, Jeff and their two daughters, Madison and McKenzie of Friendswood, Texas.
Pallbearers are Darin Rambin, Bobby Curry, Gary Dickey, Donald Smith, Cliff Snodgrass and Jeff Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers are Brent Carrell, Willie Holt and Turner Moore.
