Patrice Hart Buchanan

Patrice Hart Buchanan, 82, of Houston, Texas, passed away July 1, 2015. She was born in Bastrop, Texas on March 4, 1933 to Willie Hart and Grace Snell. She graduated from Keller High School when she was 14 years old and married Charles Lehn Buchanan on May 18, 1947. She was busy raising 5 children, but worked later in life as an interior decorator and a Real Estate agent. Patrice had a passion for reading, singing, and acting in local theater. She is survived by children Michael Buchanan (Sharon), Paddi Wilson (Harold), Colleen Buchanan, and Kevin Buchanan (Maria); 10 grandchildren Erin Burns (Keith), Shea Pratt, Sean Smith (Katelyn), Cole Smith, Sierra Smith, Ian Buchanan, Christopher Buchanan, Connor Buchanan, Diana Buchanan, and Kimberly Buchanan; 7 great-grandchildren Chelsea Cockrum (Clint), Stefen Burns, Haylee Buchanan, Tyler Buchanan, McKaela Pratt, McKenzie Pratt, and Wyatt Alonso; 2 great-great-grandchildren Caeden and Kendall Cockrum; brothers Darrell and Dwayne Bruner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Patrice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, brother Victor Hart, son Mark, and grandchildren Kyle, Brett, and Bryan Buchanan. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m. all at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
