Ralph A. Allen, a man known for his generous and loyal nature, humorously and lightheartedly passed away on August 13, 2025, at the age of 79. Ralph, a resident of Rosharon, Texas, leaves behind a legacy of mischievous fun and big-hearted encouragement to all who knew him.
Born on July 1, 1946, Ralph's life was marked by a variety of pursuits and achievements, starting with his service in the Navy, which began in 1963 and saw him reenlist in 1968. Following his military career, Ralph embarked on entrepreneurial adventures, starting his own business of trucking and a steel storage facility at the Port of Houston. His career achievements, however, never detracted from his primary role as the best dad.
In 1970, Ralph met the love of his life, Donna, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years. Together, they raised four children and fostered strong family values. Ralph was a devoted family man whose life revolved around his beloved family.
His personal interests added additional color to his rich life. Ralph was an avid golfer and a passionate fan of the Houston Texans and Astros. He also enjoyed fishing and a bit of casino excitement, with a particular fondness for the slots.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents James and Daisy Allen, his son Harold "Bucky" Borup III, his six siblings, and his great-granddaughter Hadley Kay. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Allen, and children, Leanne Irwin (Rick), Regina Allen Schmaltz (Travis), and Jason Allen (Tiffany). Ralph was a proud grandfather to Amber, Tyler, Kody, Taylor, Colin, Jordan, Cade, Jada, Alexis, Haley, Logan, Lily, Jay, and Laikynn, and a great-grandfather to 15 great-grandchildren. His cherished dog Dozer, numerous nieces and nephews, many friends and coworkers remain to cherish his memory.
Ralph Arnold Allen leaves behind a legacy of devotion, humor, and a life well-lived through the laughter and love he shared with his family and those fortunate enough to have been in his orbit.
