

Rafael passed away January 10, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Rafael lived in League City, Texas for the past eight years. Rafael was a degreed, Spanish Teacher from Texas A&M, College Station. Rafael taught Spanish at Dickson High School in Tennessee for five years. He then worked for Southwest Airlines Inflight for 10 years.
Rafael is survived by his longtime friend of 20 years, Victor Castro; sisters, Corina Guerrero and Cecilia Barrios; brother-in-law, Richard Barrios; Victor’s son, William Victor Castro; and four lovely fur-babies.
Rafael was an avid tennis player, volunteered as an Usher at Texas A&M Football games, sky dived for his 40th birthday, and volunteered with Southwest Airlines Inflight Cultural Committee. Ralph loved to find humor in everything. He was always smiling and lifting up those around him. He continually found the positive in everything and everyone!
We invite all that knew Ralph to join us in “CELEBRATING HIS LIFE” at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. with food and refreshments to follow the service.
