

Ramiro Hernandez, aged 80, of Houston, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Ramiro, the youngest of eleven children, was born on December 13, 1932 in Goliad, Texas to Maria and Policarpio Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rosa Rodriguez, four sisters Julia Cevalos, Maria Rodriguez, Nico Sanchez, Rosara Morales, five brothers, Christobal Hernandez, Luis Hernandez, Lupe Hernandez, Carlos Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Lucio Hernandez, son inlaw Reynaldo Garcia, granddaughter Kimberly Garcia. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emma Hernandez, daughter Emma Garcia, sons Ramiro R Hernandez and son Guadalupe Pacheco Jr and wife Sylvia, brother Policarpio Hernandez and son in law Carlos Rodriguez. Grandchildren, Ray and Lisa Garcia, Patricia Herrero, Priscilla and Michael Gonzalez, Ray Hernandez, Mark Rodriguez, Carlos Jr Rodriguez, Steve Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez. Ida Pacheco, Emelda Salazar, Irene Volling, Gualadupe Pachecho III.
He was a long time resident of Houston and was an avid Houston sport fan following the Oilers, Texans, Astros and Rockets for many years. He attended many sporting events with his grandson Ray, granddaughter Lisa, great granddaughter Macy and great grandson Jacob. Ramiro recently enjoyed the BMW Texan Sideline Experience with his granddaughter Priscilla, grandson Michael and great grandchild Joshua. He was employed with Texas Carpet Inc. for over thirty years. He made many long life friends in his business and he would spend much time with them. Ramiro loved his family spending time with them laughing and enjoying the beverages of life. He spent much of 2012 missing his dear son in law Reynaldo who preceded him in death this past year. They are together now. We will miss them both very much.
Visitation is Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 10 am to noon, at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral services for family and friends will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday February 23, 2013.
