Ramon Torres

Born in Galveston on December 18, 1942, to Juan and Lorenza Torres, Ramon was a proud native son of

Texas. He attended Texas City High School, where he developed a lifelong love for football.

After high school, he married the love of his life, Dora Torres, and together they built a life

centered on family, love, and hard work.

Ramon worked as a butcher for over 50 years; a career he took great pride in until his

retirement. More than anything, he dedicated his life to his family—raising three sons and

cherishing his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father,

and a proud grandfather. His quiet strength, unwavering commitment to his family, and

kind heart touched all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Lorenza Torres; his siblings, Juan Torres,

Jesus Torres, Esther Garcia, Teresa Colazo and Virginia Quinonez. Remaining to cherish

Ramon’s memory are his beloved wife, Dora Torres; his sons, Raymond Torres, Victor

Torres, and Blas Torres; his grandchildren; and his sister, Eva Mendez.

A visitation for Ramon will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The committal service will immediately follow on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
