

Raymond is survived by his beloved wife and lifelong partner of 48 years, Leticia Perez Medrano, whose unwavering love and companionship were a constant source of strength and joy throughout his life. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared a bond that stood as an example of enduring love and commitment.
He is also survived by his daughters, Jessica Medrano-Ledee and Valerie Chavez-Medrano. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Alissa A. Chavez, Kayla C. Chavez, Izabella R. Gaitan, Sophia C. Ledee, Yanellis Ledee, Alexandrea Ledee, and Andrew Ledee. He also leaves behind his sons-in-law, Alexander Ledee and Daniel Chavez. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard Medrano, Roland Medrano, and Ronald Medrano; his sisters, Linda Aguilar, Brenda Robertson, and Roberta Forero; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Delfina Medrano; his sister, Catherine A. Alaniz; and his brother, Robert Medrano Jr.
As a young man, Raymond began his career at Houston Lighting & Power (HL&P), where he dedicated many years before pursuing his passion for business in 1992. In that year, he began his journey as an entrepreneur in the flooring and remodeling industry. Through hard work, determination, and vision, he built a successful company that served countless clients and grew into a respected name in the community. Raymond officially retired in 2021, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and service. Raymond was a successful businessman and accomplished entrepreneur, known for his dedication to his work and his passion for serving others. He was well liked by many, faith-filled, and made a lasting impression on everyone he met with his sincerity, kindness, and strength of character.
Outside of work, Raymond enjoyed many sports and was a devoted Houston Astros fan. He loved playing golf, spending time outdoors, and especially took great pride in coaching his daughters’ softball teams. Whether as a coach or a spectator, he was always there to cheer others on and share in the joy of the game.
His life was rooted in faith, service, and family. As a young man, he served at Lakewood Church, later becoming a proud member of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce. He was a natural mentor—always ready with encouragement, advice, and a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Raymond’s life was a reflection of unwavering faith and daily devotion to his wife and family. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, integrity, and commitment will continue to live on through those he leaves behind.
A viewing and prayer service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. A memorial service will follow on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Sagemont Church Chapel, 11300 S. Sam Houston Pkwy E, Houston, TX 77089. A procession to Forest Park East Cemetery for interment will take place immediately after the service. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and celebrating the life of a truly remarkable man.
