

Reba Teel, 89, of Houston, TX, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family members on Monday, April 4th. Reba was born on August 18, 1926 in Franklin County, IL. Reba worked in a munitions plant during WWII and married Harley Teel her sweetheart of 66 years on November 1, 1947. Reba loved God, family, and country. She was an active member of the Christian Church wherever she lived. She served in several leadership roles such as: Missions, Teaching, Outreach, Fellow-ship and Shepherding. She and Harley were instrumental in building a new church facility both in Illinois and Texas.
Reba was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a recognized member of the “American First Families Society”. One could always find Reba helping with community projects while living both in Europe and several States in the USA.
Reba was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Esther Friend, her brother Lloyd Friend and her loving husband Harley Teel. Reba is survived by her sisters Helen Smith and Marianne Holdman, her sisters-in-law Pat Friend and Edna Neal, and her children; Maureen & Michael Spisok, Mark & Jeanie Teel, Steven Teel, Deanna Teel & Yilmaz Dokuyucu, Connie & Richard Oleson, William & Linda Teel and David Teel. Reba also has thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her love, compassion and generosity will be missed greatly by all. A visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
