

Richard L. Hinson passed peacefully from this life on November 16, 2014 in his home with his family by his side. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 3, 1929, to Walter and Mildred Hinson and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He obtained a B. S. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, served two years of Active Duty and then 4 years in USAF Reserves. He then worked as a Chemical Engineer for The Lubrizol Corporation in Deer Park, Texas, until he retired. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pasadena, and was in the Pasadena Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, after 57 years of marriage, a son Larry and wife Lisa, a daughter Lee Ann and husband John Kaleh, and four grandchildren, Conner and Angela Hinson and Brian and Jamie Kaleh, and one brother, Robert Wayne Hinson and wife Sheila, and their sons Michael and Grant and families in North Carolina.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 20 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. On Friday, November 21, there will be a Graveside Service at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster and a Celebration of Life Friday, November 21, at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1062 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, 77504, followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to the Society of Saint Stephen Food Pantry at First United Methodist Church.
