Richard Spencer Jacot, 89, passed away on April 5, 2016 in Lufkin, Texas. He was born on June 6, 1926 in Milford, Connecticut to George Robert and Ida Adams Jacot. Richard started work as a mechanic and truck driver at a brick mason company and continued as a mechanic his whole life. He was an Army Veteran and enjoyed model airplanes, even when he had to rebuild them after flight. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and son Jimmy Jacot. He is survived by his brother Robert Jacot; sister Shirley Wakeman; sons George Jacot and Spencer Jacot and wife Lisa; grandchildren Mitzie Prince and husband Darrell, Brandon Jacot and wife Kristy, Brian Jacot, and Andy Jacot and wife Miranda; great-grandchildren Gabriel Jacot, Logan Jacot, Angel Jacot, Jace Jacot, and Donavan Jacot. A visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at 10:00 a.m. in Forest Park East Cemetery.
