Richard Paul Stivers a/k/a Rick, Ricky Paul, Uncle Rackie and/or Ricketts was born April 15, 1956 in Denver, Colorado and began the next chapter of his life on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Rick is survived by his loving partner for 31 years, Cathy Stivers; in his immediate family Rick is survived by two sisters, Sandra (Sammo) Dennison and Beth Sustala and husband Jerry. Rick has two nephews, C.J. Dennison and wife Lindsi, Alex Dennison and Ashton Andrews. He was the very proud uncle of three great nephews, Logan (Tank) Dennison, J.J. (Jacob) Dennison and Dylan Dennison and one great niece Hope Dennison. Rick is survived by a very special girlfriend, Amy Ranee Plummer. Rick also was survived by a daughter Angelique Kempker-Stivers and her three children.
Rick lived in Austin, Texas for the past 35 years and was most happy when playing with his Golden Retrievers, Sammy and Dawny. He loved football, especially his Texas Longhorns. He loved antiques and collecting “stuff”.
He will be greatly missed by many people that were all touched by his love, laughter and kindness.
As an expression of sympathy, it was Rick’s wish that donations be made to the Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
