Robert was born in Memphis, TN Sep 29, 1943. He grew up there, attended MSU, joined the US Army, attended seminary school and eventually became a police officer. It was in Memphis where he made a routine traffic stop and wrote a speeding ticket to a stunning young girl that he decided to flirt with who soon became his bride and the mother of his children. (yes he still wrote the ticket). They were married on May 19, 1968. He made the decision to move to Houston in 1981 in order to provide a better quality of life for his family. he wanted his children to have more opportunity. He wanted, as we all do, for his family to be proud of him...and that they surely were. Very shortly after moving here he became a chemical operator and eventually retired from Crown Central Petroleum.
Robert was a fairly quiet person, but what he may not have known was his actions spoke louder than his deep, tough voice. He set the example and taught us lessons without speaking a word. He stood strong as he could in the face of adversity. He persevered when faced with life's many challenges. He did what he thought was right in his heart, regardless of the immediate impact it may or may not had on him. He set example after example that his children can always be proud of.
He is survived by his wife, his 3 Children and by many other family members and friends.
