Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy. While serving in the Navy he met his wife, Nicky. Robert and Nicky settled in Friendswood, Texas to start a family.
Robert led a very active life. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and skiing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga Nicolette "Nicky" Payne, daughter, Theresa Alice Payne and brother James Brazeel.
He is survived by his son, Aaron Payne, granddaughters, Evan Payne, Reese Payne and Brooke Payne.
A visitation for Robert will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to start at 2:00 p.m. and a committal service to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
