Robert G. Serrato Sr.

Robert G. Serrato, 85, of Dickinson, was laid to rest on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his residence. He was born on March 27, 1928 in Harlingen, TX and a member of Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church. He was an employee of National Terrazzo & Marble Tile Company for over 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Eulalia Serrato; brothers, Frank, Jose, Fidencio, Juan Serrato and Jesus Cerrato; sister, Calixta Guzman; son, Ruben C. Serrato Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Roselia P. Serrato; children, Helen and her husband, Lory Rodriquez, Elma Arellano, Estella Serrato, Gloria and her husband, Moises Leal, Robert Jr. Serrato, Jesse and his wife, Linda, Linda and her husband, Donnie Barajaz, Ronnie and his wife, Becky Serrato, Anna Serrato, Patricia and her husband, Greg Montooth and Jose Serrato; 37 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Arturo Serrato and sister-in-law, Diana and Ramon Serrato and sister-in-law, Petra.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Friday, April 26th receiving friends from 3-7 p.m. with Rosary 7-8 p.m. at Forest Park East funeral home-cemetery 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, TX 77598. Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 3:00 p.m with interment to follow.
