Throughout his life, Ron cultivated many lifelong friendships. He never met a stranger and was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends. Many loved him for his compassionate ways and caring heart. If you knew Ron and were lucky enough to have him for a friend, you knew that he was not just a friend for the word, he was a friend indeed.
Ron was an avid sports fan and especially loved his Dallas Cowboys. His vintage sports memorabilia collection was nothing short of amazing.
Ron became an entrepreneur at a very early age in his life, starting and operating a successful group of professional passport and visa service companies. His unique talent and dedication to providing top notch customer service was second to none and it was something he took great pride in. He was an inspiration to many young entrepreneurs.
It is difficult to lose a loved one to death, especially when many will feel they did not have enough time with Ron. Be encouraged that God’s Word in Psalm 34:18 reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Furthermore, for the believer, there is hope beyond the grave because our Savior Jesus Christ opened the door to heaven through His death and resurrection. It is only in heaven that believers will have intimate, unbroken fellowship with God. What a wonderful feeling in knowing that Ron is now in the presence of the Lord!
Ron is preceded in death by his loving father Edward Martinez, Sr., brother Larry Martinez, and sister Norma Carmona.
He is survived by his loving mother Elvira Martinez, brothers Edward Martinez, Jr., Bobby Martinez, and sister Gloria Martinez. He is also survived by sister-in-law Patty Martinez, brothers-in-law Gilbert Carmona and Jim Shank, and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and cousins.
Ron left a profound mark on this world, one of kindness and patience. He taught many family members and friends so many things except for how to live without him. Ron would want you to be encouraged to know that you can always walk with God when your heart needs encouragement. Turn to God during those times you need someone to lean on. Take God’s hands when you feel alone.
A private Celebration of Life is being held for Ron, details of which will be disseminated by the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the Martinez family.
