Rudy Dean Cast

Rudy Dean Cast age 79, of League City Texas went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2012. He was born on August 26, 1933 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Olin Jay Cast and Henrietta McAlister Cast. He was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma where he was a Golden Glove boxing Champion.

Rudy graduated with honors from Oklahoma University with an Engineering degree and was commissioned in the United States Air Force. As Second Lieutenant he became a pilot in the F86 jet fighter. While serving our country Rudy fell in love with and married Margaret (Peggy) Corbett of Norman Oklahoma, beginning their 54 years of marriage.

After Air Force service, Rudy began a career in Aerospace with Boeing and McDonald Douglas. He worked on several space exploration projects including the International Space Station. Rudy retired in 1991 and enjoyed sports and spending time with his family.

Rudy is survived by three children; James Cast, Jenifer Crowley, and Wendy Robertson, and eight grandchildren; Lisa Cast, Erin and Lauren Crowley, Alex, Chase, Garrett and Lexi Robertson, and Drew Overton. He is survived by his brother and best friend Ronald Cast and sisters Marcheta McConnell, Celia Bryan, and Lana Anderson.

Rudy was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Peggy in 2010, his youngest son Timothy in 2007, grandson Mathew Cast in June 2012, his step-mother Oleta Cast, his parents, and brothers Duane Cast, Phillip Cast, and Cary Cast.

Memorial Service will be held at Forest Park East, Webster, Texas on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10:00 am followed by a reception and visitation.
