

Rudolph Vargas, 55, of Houston, Texas, passed away on June 17th, 2013 from complications of liver disease. Rudy was born in Gonzales, TX on October 6th, 1957. He graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School in Pasadena, and continued his education in the United States Army. Rudy worked as a calibration technician for many years. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening, and almost any DIY project.
Rudy is survived by his daughter, Chloe Cantu and husband Timothy Cantu, parents, Mary and Dimas Vargas, brother, Ron Vargas, nieces Angela Ojeda and husband Cirilo and Ashley Anderson-Hamm and husband Johnny , along with their children, Ava and Nathan Ojeda, Austin Abbott, Grady and Miles Hamm, and other family and friends.
Rudy is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Catherine Vargas, and sister, JoAnn Vargas.
Visitation will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013, followed by a rosary at 7pm. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, June 20th, 2013 at Forest Park East. Deacon Rob Stevens of St. Francis Cabrini will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Chloe Cantu, 1312 Pecan St., Bryan, TX 77803.
