Rudy Leon Welch

Rudy Leon Welch, age 83, passed away on September 29, 2019. He was born to Andrew Welch and Bertha Norwood Welch on December 20, 1935 in San Augustine, Texas. He was married to Nelda Welch for 59 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Welch and Bertha Norwood Welch; brothers, Troy Welch and wife Murl Dean, and Rubin Welch; sister, Vera Mae Bradley and husband Aubry Bradley.

Rudy is survived by his loving wife, Nelda Welch; children, Richard Welch (Darlene) and Vickie Williamson (Bryant); grandchildren, Matthew Welch, Jennifer Welch, Erin Williamson Foster (Jared), Gregory Williamson, and Carson Williamson; great-grandchildren, Avery Welch and Jaden Foster; brother-in law, Doug Lewis (Chloe); sister-in-law, Barbara Lewis; and numerous other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A Celebration of Rudy’s Life will take place at 3:00 p.m., followed by a Committal Service in the Forest Park East Cemetery.

Pastor Trent Henderson will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Welch, Gregory Williamson, Carson Williamson, Bryant Williamson, and Dennis Shew.
