Ruth was born July 2, 1920, in La Porte, TX. She was preceded in death
by her husband Fred T. Maudlin, her parents Hosea Williams and
Charlotte Connell and brother Lewis Williams.
Ruth graduated from Reagan High School in Houston in 1938. She was a
member of the Red Coats and played the xylophone. Mommie Ruth
loved to cook, fish, shop and show off her Santa Clause collection.
She is survived by her daughters; Sharon Topfer and husband Bob of
Dickinson, Marilyn Watkins and husband Lyndy, Ruthie Lambert and
husband Stephen, sons; Earl Maudlin and wife Terrilee and John
Maudlin and wife Marla all of Kemah, also, 12 grandchildren; Karen,
Kennedy, Glenn Topfer, Lance Lenert, Diane Groves, Clover Clammons,
Sailor Maudlin, Susan Force, Calan Lambert, Noah Maudlin, Casey
Lambert, Nick Maudlin and Wendi Lambert, 15 great grandchildren, and
a loving sister, Gladys Caulking of Houston.
Pallbearer’s will be her grandsons; Glenn Topfer, Lance Lenert, Calan
Lambert, Casey Lambert, Noah Maudlin and Nick Maudlin. Honorary
Pallbearer’s; Bob Topfer, Lyndy Watkins and Stephen Lambert.
The family wishes to thank Ruth’s caregivers over the last 11 1/2 years:
Frances Kettler, Pat Ballard, Shirley Gaston, and Cathy Armstrong.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 9 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm followed
by graveside services with Rev. Jerry Westerbuhr officiating, at Forest
Park East, 21620 Gulf Fwy Webster Tx 77598.
