She attended Abilene Christian College and graduated from the University of Houston with a teaching degree. She was a lifelong teacher for the Clear Creek ISD and the family has been told for years she was the favorite of so many of her students.
She was preceded in death by her husband Conway F. Jordan Jr. She is survived by her sister Martha Daniel, her three children Jan Jordan Hair (Brad Hair), Jill Jordan Stephenson (Dan Stephenson), and Conway F Jordan III (David Chickey), and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A service will be held in the chapel at Forest Park East Funeral Home, Monday, January 8, at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a favorite charity in honor of Shirley’s life.
