She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Joe Lara.
Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are her three daughters: JoAnn Carrizales, Pat Moreno (Miguel), and Kathy Solis; 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Shirley married the love of her life, Joe Lara, on March 26, 1958. Together they raised a beautiful family and enjoyed living life. She was an amazing cook and a few of her hobbies included working with her plants as well as craft projects; but she most especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, dedicated mother and grandmother, and wonderful friend.
Mom, we love you so much, you will live in our hearts forever. This is not goodbye, but until we meet again.
The family will receive guests for visitation Saturday, December 26 from 1:00-2:00PM with the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 1:30PM in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas. A Celebration of Shirley’s life will begin at 2:00PM. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
