It is with heavy hearts that my mother and I have said goodbye to our loving father and husband, Stephen Ray Millard. Steve suffered from long term battle with diabetes and succumbed to a stroke.
Steve was born in Memphis, TN on May 25, 1956 to Betty and Harold Millard. He moved to Texas as a child, and spent the majority of his childhood in Houston. He was a graduate of Memorial High School, he went on to attend the University of Saint Thomas, where received a Bachelors degree in Business. He married Marcie Lee McComb in 1988 and settled in the League City area. In 1990,they gave birth to their only child Bradley Ray Millard. Steve had a long time career real estate appraisal, where he earned his SRA designation.
Steve enjoyed volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for many years in various committees and cook offs. He was a spiritual man involved in church activities, including serving in the Altar Guild. He was a man full of love, support, and wit. He never passed an opportunity to crack a joke, or give a hand to those in need. Steve loved cooking and photography, almost as much as he loved his friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Stephen is survived by his wife Marcie, and his son Bradley. He preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents; Russel and Hazel Morgan.
