Thomas Lane "Tom" Pace Jr. passed away April 25, 2011 in a Nassau Bay, Texas hospital at the age of 65. He was born January 22, 1946 in San Diego, California and grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He enlisted in the Navy and proudly served our country for 2 tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration where he worked as an Aviation Inspector until he retired. Tom lived in League City for the past 13 years and was active in both the American Legion and VFW.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Swearingen Pace; parents, Thomas Lane Pace Sr. and Elsie Dugan Pace; two daughters, Melanie and her husband, Don Dittrich and Jocelyn Covington; two grandchildren, Austin Dittrich and Kelsey Dittrich and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Rev. Don Dittrich will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors rendered by the VFW and American Legion.
