Veronica Maurice LaCabe

Veronica Maurice LaCabe was born on January 13th, 1944. She was schooled in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Houston, Texas in 1976 with the love of her life, Clifton LaCabe. Together they opened and operated a successful small business for many years. Veronica was the daughter of the late Firmin Peter Maurice and Bernice Hilda Demas Maurice. Veronica was a beloved sibling of Bernadine Gabriel, Sylvia Johnson (Leo), Christopher Maurice and the late Ulysse Maurice, Firmin Maurice Jr, and Audrey Maurice. She was the adored mother of Cathie, Tinette, and Catinia; The mother-in-law of Robert Roland; The dearly loved grandmother of Haleigh (Damon), Gavin, John Jr, and Kenadee as well as the treasured great-grandmother of Izaiah. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Veronica LaCabe stood on the pillars of faith and family, which she practiced daily. She was a woman of grace, honesty, and dignity. She remained firm in her foundational pillars, but always executed her beliefs with selflessness, unconditional love, and the utmost best intentions. Her legacy will continue to live on today and many more years to come.
