Virginia Ross Newton Siggins

Virginia Ross Siggins, of Seabrook went to heaven March 16, 2011 while at St. Johns Hospital in Clear Lake. She was born in Dallas on August 20, 1923 to William Ross and Ruth Newton. Virginia married John H. Siggins, November 22, 1944, and together they had three children. Virginia worked for NASA as a secretary for 29 yrs. She was a long time member of Seabrook United Methodist Church and for many years was active in a local bridge group.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Bettye Jo Bothwell of Tyler and Doris Clark of Beaumont; and grandson, Mike Siggins of Friendswood. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John H.; sons: John Ross and wife Kitty, Carl and wife Jeanette; and daughter Cindy Bryant and husband Doug.

Virginia was the proud grandmother of William, Kaylee, Mike, Kristy, Vicki Jo, Scott, Jennifer, Nancy, Amanda and Charles and great-grandmother of Jordan, Nathan, Charlize, Chloe, Hannah, Havyn, Kate, Will and Joseph and another baby to be born in July. She was affectionately known as Aunt Ginnie to her nieces and nephews. Virginia considered her family to be her greatest blessing and she was an even greater blessing to her family. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598, followed with a graveside service in Forest Park East Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
