

Born May 22, 1924, in Ft. Worth, Texas, Vivian Joye Hallam, went to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on November 18, 2012 at age 88, after a courageous lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Left behind to cherish her memory are her four children: Judith Hallam Moore of Keller, Texas, Jerry Lee Hallam of Richmond, Texas, Bruce Kelly Hallam of Round Rock, Texas and Vivian Jean Hallam of Cypress, Texas; six grandchildren: Vincent Ruempolhamer, Nathanial Ruempolhamer, Jeremy Brown, Michelle Hallam Welch, Mark Hallam and Brandon Hallam; nine great-grandchildren: ‘Maddy’ Welch, Zoe Grace Ruempolhamer, Cadence Bechet Ruempolhamer, Cameron Michael Ruempolhamer, Caleb Ruempolhamer, Melchesidek ,Ephraim, Bethelai, Gwendolyn and Madeline(Maddy), (Vincent’s children). Vivian Joye is preceded in the death by her beloved husband, Malcom Kelly Hallam, her father, Albert Floyd Farr, an infant grandson, Cameron Kelly Ruempolhamer, her treasured mother ,Minnie Lee Farr Roberson, great grandparents circuit riding Methodist Ministers, maternal Uncle Sanford Baird; maternal Aunts: Naomi Jones, Lila Mae Fairbanks, Nadine O’Toole , and Mollie Elnora Baird, famous as first Assembly of God missionary from Texas; beloved cousins missionary Ray Fairbanks, minister , Sam O’Toole and Bob O’Toole of Ft. Worth. Graduated from Texas State College for Women (now Texas Women’s University) in 1946 with a degree in Business Administration. She married Malcom Kelly Hallam, Graduated Texas Christian University in History, after which the couple moved to Huntsville, Texas, served as intern pastors of First Assembly of God Madisonville, Texas, before settling in the Houston area. There they helped Reverend Jimmy McClellan establish churches. Moving to Pasadena, Texas until 1962, then to Deer Park in 1968, where they lived the remainder of their lives. Vivian is deeply loved by all who knew her and admired for the years of her service in churches in the Houston, Texas area, leader of several women’s groups. She worked in ministries of Magnolia Park Assembly of God, Manor Assembly of God, Jacinto City Assembly of God, South Houston Assembly of God, Park Place Assembly of God, Christian Temple and Gulf Meadows Church. Vivian Joye was truly an example of a “Proverbs 31 woman”, wife, mother, grandmother and as her mother Minnie Lee, so often referred to her daughter as the joy of our lives. She will be greatly missed.
