

In December of 1965 he joined the United States Navy and was sent to Vietnam after bootcamp. He was part of the RAT Sailors (River Assault Team) and Honorably Discharged in October of 1968 as an E4 with a Bronze Star.
After returning home he worked in a Lead position in the family asphalt business. He received his associate's degree in business management at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California, He also went into Real Estate for a short time and finally found his place in the work force when he started driving truck. He drove all over the United States for 30+ years.
He loved all animals, especially his Huskies. He also loved fishing, hunting, reading, traveling, puzzles, woodworking and a good cigar.
He is preceded in death by his infant sons Bill Everett Buck and William Arthur Buck,
Father-In-Law Arthur W. Emery, Sr, Brother-In-Law Jeffrey A. Stark and Sister-In-Law Donna G. Emery, and both his parents
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie J. Buck and Son, Matthew J. Ward,
Son: Gary O. Buck, Stepdaughter: Donna L. Goldie and Son-In-Law Charles Goldie

Sister-In-Laws: Arlene F. McMeekin and Cory L. Emery
