Wayne Charles Buckley

Wayne Charles Buckley, 62, of Clear Lake, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2016. He was born in Denver, Colorado on October 7, 1953 to Rolland and Anna Mae Buckley. Wayne graduated from Regis College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1977 and from the University of Colorado with a Master of Public Administration in 1979.

He was married to Phyllis Buckley for 26 years and 10 months. Wayne had a career at NASA Johnson Space Center as a Contracting Officer; retiring in 2005 after 25 years of dedicated service. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church of Clear Lake, Texas. He had a passion for his family and adopting rescued Shelties; providing them with a wonderful home. Wayne also had a passion for broncos; whether it was in the form of a truck for his grandson, Michael, or his Super Bowl winning Denver Broncos.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rolland. Wayne is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughter, Amy Marshman and husband Lynn of League City; mother, Anna of Clear Lake; and one grandson who he loved deeply, Michael Buckley.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 12:00-12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with a graveside service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery. Associate pastors of University Baptist Church, Kyle Wilson and Karen Murphy, will officiate.

Wayne will truly be missed by all!
