Edward “Eddy” Tibbetts, born on August 25, 1939, in Brockton, Massachusetts, peacefully passed away on August 26, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia. Eddy proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.
He cherished spending time with his family and friends, forming bonds that enriched his life. Eddy is survived by his beloved wife, Susanne, and their daughter, Cheryl and Step-son Jeff. He also leaves behind his granddaughters, Rachal and Heaven, who brought him immense joy. His brother, Gary, is among those who will miss him dearly. As well as many Nephews, Nieces, Great Nephews & Nieces, and Cousins.
Eddy was an active member of the American Legion, contributing to his community and supporting fellow veterans.
A viewing will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday September 12th at Nickerson Funeral Home in Wellfleet. A memorial service will take place at 10 AM on Friday September 13th at the same location, followed by burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Eddy’s spirit and warmth will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
