Marsha was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She loved to travel and on a trip to Truro, met the love of her life, Raymond "Butch" Joseph. They were married for 35 years.
Marsha and Butch were inseparable and enjoyed their life together in Truro. They built a second home in Island Pond, Vermont, often spending much of the summer there. It was a special place for them. Always traveling with them was Marsha’s beloved rescue dog, Bella. Butch and Bella were the most important things in Marsha’s life.
Marsha always had a big smile, an infectious laugh and made friends wherever she went. Her zest for life never wavered, even during her battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband and Bella, Marsha is survived by her brother, Steven Johnson and his children, Danielle and Kevin of Pennsylvania. Her stepchildren, Peggi Joseph and her son Connor of Harwich, Joey and Deneen Joseph and their sons Marvin and Charlie of Chatham.
Butch would like to thank everyone for their love and support during Marsha’s illness, especially VNA/Hospice and the kind caregivers at McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich. Donations in Marsha’s memory can be made to Cape Cod VNA/Hospice, 25 Communication Way, Hyannis, MA 02601.
A celebration of Marsha’s life will be held at a later date.
