I met Alison at the Eglinton Square Library where she was Branch Head. She was such a wonderful leader. So kind and knowledgeable, I felt like she always had an answer to my many questions. She will be greatly missed at the Toronto Public Library. My sincere condolences to her loved ones.

I am greatly sadden by the news of Alison's passing.  I knew that she was dealing with a terrible disease but I hoped that the outcome would be different. My condolence to Alison's parents and Pete, McKenzie and Laura.
 Alison was one of the most genuine individuals I have met in my lifetime.  Her smile and her laughter said it all.  The love and pride she had in her family was something she shared with others.  Her family was  the most important thing in her life.
I first met Alison at the East York Curling Club more than 20 years ago.  We discovered that we grew up very close to each other.  Two country girls finding  each other in the big city.  Alison was a very good curler and a great skip.  She helped improve my curling skills and we went on several bonspiels including to her mom and dad's club in Napanee.    It was wonderful meeting her mom, Jane, and I treasure those memories. 
I was thrilled when she became head librarian at Albert Campbell Library as I could renew  our friendship.   I know that she was greatly respected at the branch.  My son was fortunate to work with Alison.  He learned a great deal about dealing with the public and providing good service to the library patrons from her leadership.
Memories are all we leave behind.  I am positive that Alison has left many many good memories for her family.

I am so sorry for your loss, Pete.  Alison's passing is far too soon.  I learned so much about our sport from Alison while curling on her Day Women's team.    Her enthusiasm for knitting resulting in me picking up the needles again during the pandemic.   We have lost a wonderful, quick-witted woman.

My heart and deepest condolences go out to your family. She was such a great lady, creative, kind, caring and giving. She will be greatly missed.

Alison was a wonderful, supportive and generous colleague. She will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure to work with her. 

To all of Alison's family, may you find comfort in the memories you share. There are countless that we will hold onto at the library. Know we will always treasure those cozy mittens  she made.

Alison, I will miss you dearly. I will treasure all of your knitted gifts with great care.

So very sorry to learn of Alison’s passing.  She was great to curl with and I enjoyed her knitting projects.

So sorry to hear about Allison's passing, what and amazing courageous women Allison was. She was a wonderful curler, a kind and gentle soul. At the club she was always knitting while waiting for her game to start. She will be missed dearly by the Tam Heather curling folks.

Alison was such a strong and fun person.  As she worked through her treatment sessions she still managed to dedicate time to a pretty rigorous exercise program where we shared so many laughs.
