Suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in his 68th year. Most beloved husband of 40 years to Terry. Devoted and cherished father of Leanne (Matt Jarick), Tommy (Jhoanna); and David (Julie). Proud and loving “Papa” of Lauren and Noah Jarick, Brayden, Chloe and Madeleine Morlock. Blaine was the son of the late Harold and Dolly Morlock. Predeceased by his dearest sister Beverley Hoddinott. Fondly remembered by his brothers Blair (Andrina), and Barry (Judy), his mother-in-law Lillian Partington, many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and brother Knights. He was a gifted teacher and guidance counselor retired from the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Family, faith, his dog Ricky, and service to others were the pillars of Blaine’s life. He served with the 48th Highlanders Militia. Throughout his time on earth he gave freely of himself as a volunteer in his parish, with the Agincourt Canadians, SHA and Scarborough Ice Raiders hockey associations, with Tennis Canada, with the Downs Syndrome Association, and the Knights of Columbus.
Friends and family may visit at the Giffen-Mack Scarborough Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., West Hill, on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial to be held in St. Martin de Porres Roman Catholic Church, 4179 Lawrence Ave. E. on Saturday at 11am. Cremation. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of your choice.
