I just learned of Dave’s passing and I am lamenting. Dave was a huge part of my life growing up. He was always there, and really made a difference. Growing up as a child and later on as a teen, we spent so much time together on different projects, jobs and events. I will always take with me the memory of the most patient, generous and loyal man I have ever had the honour to know. Rest In Peace Dave, I hope you allow yourself to be catered to in heaven the way you catered to so many here on this rock. 

David and my husband Gord Tompkins were lifelong friends until Gord's passing in 2010. I just found out that David had passed away and wanted to say that he was a very kind and certainly unique man. I know that he and Gord will have united in heaven along with many dear friends and relatives. Rest in peace David knowing that you were one of a kind!

There are way too many conversations between Dave and I to choose one specific one he loved to talk about anything and everything and he was a good man with a huge heart he has done a lot for my family especially my mother and younger sister and he will never be forgotten by us rest in peace Coleman ❤❤

David was a man of few words but very generous. I remember the the time helped a friend to.move. He,was the kind of person that was there when you needed help. He will certainly be missed by his friends and family. Norma and I give our condolences to the family

Dave was the love of my life. We shared years of memories as a couple. He was my best half and my best friend. He always pushed me to be better then I was because he saw something in me that I didn't. I've known Dave for 13 years and my life better because of him being in my life. 
Dave I will always carry you in my heart, I love you so much. I miss you like crazy.

To Dave's family and a memory of him as the man I always knew.

He was a very understanding, and he listened to me when I spoke.  We all have made mistakes in life, but I always knew him to be a man of his word, when he said he would help you with something, he always followed through with what he said. He had the biggest heart I ever knew and was always good to meet and my kids.  He supported me in many ways with many things in my lifetime. He used to babysit my kids when I and my X-husband wanted to go out. And supported my decisions of what ever came my way.  He may have spoke about money on various occasions, but his heart over weight all of that hugely. He was a good friend, always kind and willing to talk with me. Even though my life took a turn where I could not live where I was anymore, our time was really limited to seeing him. As much as I wanted to see him I could not. RIP Dave, your heart stands out the most in what ever he did for people and that's the way I'm going to remember him. Love you Dave, Lorraine Robbie oxox

Dave was with my mother Sherrill for nearly 25 years until she passed away in 2010.  I grew up with him as my step father from the age of 8.   He will be fondly remembered for several things including his famous license plate PAYME.  He loved to make money and he did not shy away from hard work. 
Dave always said what was on his mind, no matter who you were, you knew where you stood with him.  The most important memory of Dave is what a generous man he was.  He would give anything he had to a friend or even a stranger in need.  We will miss you dearly.

I didn't know much of Dave except his licence plate and his discussions of money from around the local donut shop. Little stories here and there. I finally really got to know him when he became our landlord in 2016. He took us in when we had no where else to go and worked out a deal on the rent. He gave us a place to live when we really needed help and for that I will always be grateful. The odd time we would just sit in his truck and smoke cigarettes and talk. I remember opening his eyes to the fact that a conversation was only a conversation when it went both ways. It seemed to be an eye opening concept to him! ;) If I had issues at the apt he would be right over. I believe contrary to his licence plate and his talk of money he had a very big heart and would help where he could. I am blessed to have gotten a chance to know that part of him. Rest in peace big guy ... and Thank you for the memories <3

Dear Coleman family,

You don't know me, but I work for Dr. Spodek.  We both send our very deepest sympathies, and share in your grief.

Dave was one of a kind. 

I have known him for a long time.  He thought it was great that we shared the same birthday. ..although years apart... He never went a single year without calling me to wish me a happy birthday, or any other holiday for that matter.  That's the kind of man he was.

He was caring and warm  and he had a heart as big as the sun....bigger.

He was a really dear friend and I am going to miss him like crazy.

Dave Coleman would stop by to Gary Smith  sometimes when he also was sick

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I served him many coffees, back when I worked at the local coffee shop. My fondest memory, is when my family and I were going camping, & he said: "Don't buy any firewood. I've got lots of firewood hey." And he showed up at the coffee shop, & filled our trunk full. We barely had room for camping equipment. Lol. 
Nice guy.
