David Lawton Thompson was born on November 24th, 1944 to Ellen Maud Thompson and Samuel Alexander Thompson, both of whom are deceased. He was the fifth of ten siblings within the family, which is comprised of eight sons and two daughters; of which four brothers have predeceased him. He immigrated to the Bahamas to explore working opportunities, but quickly moved to Canada where he knew that he could use his talent of skilled workmanship, having gifted hands. He pursued a vocation in automotive mechanics in Jamaica West Indies and advanced himself to become a fitter with Canron - Midwest, a steel industry, gaining recognition in the construction of bridges, with coveted efficiency.
David , who is affectionately called " Paps" at home, is sorely missed by his siblings, beloved friend Sonia, stepson Mikey, Coyetta and six grandchildren who comprised his world. Mourning our loss are families - including siblings, nephews, nieces, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, as well as numerous friends within the community.
Also, Grim, the pet rabbit grieves the loss of his caregiver and provider.
Rest in PEACE, Beloved!
